Lately, I am working on the signage work for the new Cowboy Seven Cafe and studying about the material of copper and brass. I know these elements for long enough but have never learnt about the difference in their nature. Last week, I decided to do a quick search on this question and interestingly found that brass is an alloy of copper and zinc, which means that copper is the father of brass with appearance of reddish color while brass usually in green-yellowish tone… Anyway, I am happy that I have learnt about this.

Passing by a store and spotted this pencil case made in brass, caught my eyes and decided to “purchase” it as an “investment” to my knowledge. After a detailed inspection of the pencil case and the words printed on the box, I can now confirm that this is really made of brass.
